george bernard shaw quote by lhbs (source: facebook.com/lhbs)
i will not discuss the value of truth because it will be leading nowhere. everyone has his own truth, so george clooney is a really ugly guy, right? anyway i rather believe in what wittgenstein said, that most problems and misunderstandings base in the unsufficiency of language, so just try to put your words differently or add some words to your statement – and anyone can live with something today that had been heavily dissed yesterday.
enough of it. i would like to talk about shaw’s quote. in the beginning of something new lies a lot of uncomfort: you have to kill the old. since most of the people like to stick to the old existing because its comforting and secure (you know what you got, right?) it always gets messy. you have to dare thinking the unthinkable, have to like the unliked, embrace the obnoxious and offensive. of course people will hate you for that, feel uncomfortable and insecure and judging you having nothing else in mind than trying to be provocative in the first place. well, that’s the medal you seem to have to carry.
some people think they are crazy but actually they are not. to me a crazy one is someone to think and act beyond borders. and this also includes to go into fields and dig in the mud where everyone will hate you for that. maybe you even get stuck there and everyone will laugh and say: told you.
craziness became a lifestyle. let’s be all crazy, let’s all be rebels and fight the goddam normal. funny thing is, when something became a lifestyle it is too many people, the rebelry of back then, of the one guy who sweat blood and tears to tear down the walls of the existing and make way for the new, he now finds himself in masses of so-called crazies. he find himself within the new normal.
the real crazy people get bored, angry and go to action before the rest does. before the rest even notices. before it comes to public attention and before it became a movement. and he kicks their lazy asses and minds and gets beaten for that.
so this is for the crazy ones. and not for all the people applauding later on, that have been hating before.

… wie wahr, wie wahr…
